How It Works

ONE

To develop your personal plan, we need to map your personal genome. Get started by selecting from the IntellxxDNA foundational reports outlined below. Choose one, or several. You can always add on new reports later. Each report includes a one-on-one telehealth meeting with Dr. Sotos. The length of the consultation depends on the report you choose, with more in-depth reports requiring longer consultations.

FOUR

Processing your kit will take approximately 3-4 weeks. You will receive an email when your report is ready for Dr. Sotos to review. Because this is a clinical-grade report and not a direct-to-consumer product, you will not have access to the report until after you have met with Dr. Sotos and she has reviewed it with you.

TWO

To make it easy, Dr. Sotos' fee is included with the price of the report, which is provided at cost.

Once you select your report and complete your purchase, Dr. Sotos will work directly with IntellxxDNA to order your at-home buccal (cheek) swab sample kit and provide you with your login for the IntellxxDNA online portal.

FIVE

Dr. Sotos will email you to schedule your genomic consultation via a telehealth video call. It is best to schedule these calls when you can be on a computer (rather than a cell phone) as she will be sharing her screen with you. When you meet with Dr. Sotos, she will discuss the risks and benefits within your genomic profile, and review potential prevention or intervention strategies to help you achieve optimal health and wellness. The entire process supports an informed interpretation of test results and a better understanding of potential next steps. This becomes your personalized plan. Special attention will be paid to "hotspots" that have the potential to impact your health the most.

THREE

When your sample kit arrives by mail, it will come with easy-to-follow instructions. You will log into your portal to activate your kit barcode, and follow the step-by-step instructions to collect your saliva sample. It comes with all the packaging you need to ship it to the lab, including a pre-printed postage label. It's simple, easy and quick.

SIX

After your consultation, your full genomic report and consult notes will be uploaded to your secure patient portal and can be used in the future to make better informed decisions about your health and to optimize your well-being. Since your genes don't change over time, an individual report only needs to be done once. To learn more about your genome you may order different, additional reports.
